I love some of the characters. I find the family dynamic and storyline so interesting. I don’t care for the procedural format of the series, however. I just don’t buy into a murder happening in every episode. More over, a murder is neatly solved in 30 or 40 minutes. I guess I am so spoiled by cable tv series...I have higher expectations. I understand that this procedural format was the template for so many years. I don’t find the murder mysteries in each episode all that interesting. I love the mystery and back story of the father, son and family. I wish this series focused more on the father and the family. I think I prefer a long format storyline....solving a murder mystery over the course of a season vs neatly solving a murder each episode. <p>I just started watching Prodigal Son.
